“And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;”
Mark 16:15-17 NKJV
THE KEY TO SIGNS AND WONDERS
How do we get there? How do we get to the point that “these signs follow them that believe? “ To be a true expression of the God of miracles in our world, we must be a people whose lives are bursting with the miraculous.
The short answer on how we walk in this divine command is found in the call… “go into all the world…and these signs shall follow those that believe”. Simply put, believing is the key ingredient.
I have been in church my entire life. When it comes to the miraculous, there is something I’ve come to discover. All who operate in the supernatural believe, but not all who believe operate in the supernatural.
All who operate in the supernatural believe, but not all who believe operate in the supernatural. Share on XYOU CAN WALK IN POWER
Contrary to what many think, this power is not reserved for clergy. You don’t have to fight for a position further up the latter to operate in this power. No one better exemplifies what it takes to walk in this kind of power than Stephen in the book of Acts. Here are three keys found in the life of Stephen that release signs and wonders:
-
Serve
“And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit…” Acts 6:5 NKJV
We don’t hear of one miracle from Stephen until he is appointed as a deacon – a servant to all. If you are not faithful in serving, God will never trust you with signs and wonders.
-
Shine
“And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him, saw his face as the face of an angel.” Acts 6:15 NKJV
In the middle of accusation, Stephen’s face was lit up like an angel. Sadly, when we have a bad day we often look like we’re apart of the wrong team, the ones without hope. If we’re gonna walk in signs and wonders we have to allow life’s darkest moments to be a platform to shine God’s glory.
-
Seek
“But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God…” Acts 7:55 NKJV
I know we can keep our eyes turned heavenward when we’re in our prayer closet with dimmed lights and soft music, but what about when the crowd is furious with you and ready to take your life? When we reach the place where our pursuit of God cannot be detoured by circumstances, we are then establishing a life that can be entrusted with signs and wonders.
THE BYPRODUCT OF BELIEVING
Many are facing issues that have left them feeling hopeless. What they need is a church that is bursting with the power of God. Serving, shining, and seeking are all simply a byproduct of truly believing. Let’s be people of audacious faith!
